Lemon & Sage Roasted Chicken:

This recipe is a good way to spice up your chicken offerings. It is easy to make and a great recipe to use when company comes!



Recipe Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken pieces (white or dark meat)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 large garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves (+ extra for garnish)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black or to taste
  • 1 lemon, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh broth 

Preheat oven 450 degree F. Place chicken in large roasting pan and brush with oil.  Sprinkle each piece with lemon juice, garlic, save salt, and pepper ; top with lemon slices.  Add brth to pan.  Roast chicken, basting frequently, unitl browned and cooked through, about 25 minutes or until juices run clear.  Transfer chicken to platter. Skim fat from pan.  Place pan over two burners; cook and stir about 4 minutes.  Spoon sauces over chicken and garnish with sage.
