NEW RECIPE! Wild Rice and Craisins - Meat:

This hearty rice recipe makes a great side dish and packs a lot of nutrition.



Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/4 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup uncooked wild rice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. powdered wild rice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. powered chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 cups Craisins (dried cranberries)
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted chopped pecans
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest

    Serves 4

    In a large saucepan, sauté onion in oil until tender. 

    Stir in water, rice, and bouillon and bring to a boil. 

    Reduce heat: cover and simmer for 50-55 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. 

    Remove from heat and fold Craisins, pecans, and lemon zest.
